Terms & Conditions

By booking your dog/s with Harmony Paws Dog Grooming you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following:

At Harmony Paws Dog Grooming we take exceptional pride in our work. We provide a stress-free, clean and comforting environment for all pets. We do, however, reserve the right to refuse service if we believe your pet is overly stressed, aggressive or infested with bugs. We do not want to cause any harm to a dog or ourselves during the grooms.

Our prices are based on grooming type, size of the dog, condition of the coat and behaviour of the animal. Harmony Paws Dog Grooming services are advertised as a “FROM” price. Harmony Paws Dog Grooming reserves the right to amend any price during the appointment should it differ from the original estimate.

Drop off - Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes prior to your appointment without prior arrangement as this may disturb other grooms in process. We also request you’re not late for your appointment as we may not have enough time to fit your groom in. Please call 0402 585 188 if you know you may be late to discuss.

Pick-up - You will receive a text message once your dogs groom is complete. We ask that dogs are picked up within 30 minutes unless alternative arrangements have been made. After this time late pick-up fees of $10 per 15 minutes or part thereof will apply. Incessant barkers must be picked up immediately after their groom.

Matted/Knotted Coats - Coats with excessive Matts/Knots may incur an extra charge. Your desired groom may not be possible if your dog’s coat is matted or knotted. We will not brush out bad matts/knots as this is distressing for your dog and can scare them off future grooms. We'll cut/shave matts & knots out as neatly as possible to give your dog a fresh start.

Difficult to Groom Dogs - If your dog is difficult to groom we may not be able to complete your desired groom, however, we will endeavour to still make your dog beautiful. Extra charges may apply for additional grooming time.

Aggressive Dogs - We reserve the right not to groom or complete the groom of dogs exhibiting aggressive behaviour. Charges may still apply.

Senior Dogs/ Special Needs - Dogs of old age have an increased risk of health and medical issues. We take these circumstances and any health issues you have informed us about into consideration and will approach the dog accordingly based on its behaviour and reaction to the groomers process.

When the dog displays health issues we adjust our approach to the groom. In particular if the dog no longer enjoys brushing or can no longer handle the hair dryer (dryer seizures may occur), this may result in the grooming to be of lower quality. At this stage of the dogs life, it is more important that the dogs skin and coat remain healthy as the superficial result no longer places importance over the wellbeing of the dog.

Sedated dogs - Grooming or handling a sedated dog can be dangerous. We ask that if your pet has been mildly sedated or given medication, you inform us before the service begins. We will not groom dogs that require heavy sedation.

Wounds - Any dog with open wounds will not be groomed for the safety of your pet and to minimize the risk of infection.

Fleas - If your dog is found to have fleas, a flea rinse will be applied and additional fee's will be charged.

Anal Gland Expression - We do NOT offer anal gland expression, as this should be performed by a licensed veterinarian.

Emergencies - In the event of an emergency, Harmony Paws Dog Grooming has a Pet First Aid Certificate and can provide necessary medical attention to your dog in your absence. Should we not be capable of medically addressing your dog, we will transport your dog to our local veterinary clinic. We will provide notice to the owner and will remain at the vet to ensure we understand what has occurred as reported by the veterinarian. You understand all expenses that may be incurred are your responsibility unless stated that  Harmony Paws Dog Grooming will assume financial responsibility.

Pre-existing conditions - It is your responsibility as a pet owner to inform the groomer of any known pre-existing conditions.

Photos - We strive for perfection and each dog makes practice. We often take photos of the results achieved. Any content taken of your pet during the appointment may be used for grooming evidence or uploaded to our social media profiles. Please let us know if you don't wish for this to occur.

Payment - Payment is to be made at the time of pick-up. Payment can be cash or bank transfer.

Harmony Paws Dog Grooming will always do their best to protect the health, wellbeing and safety of your dog whilst on premises. You acknowledge that accidents can and do happen and you hereby absolve Harmony Paws Dog Grooming from any and all responsibility involving, injury, escape, damage or disease during and after their grooming appointment.
